  1. Versatile, large neck pillow. Durable and well-made.

A friend suggested a “neck” pillow when I complained about neck pain. I’ve tried several and this is the most thoughtfully built of all the ones I’ve tried. There are 2 levels of support for the neck. Rotating the pillow 180 degrees lets you choose what level of support you want. It also supports your neck if you move from lying on your back to on your side. It’s the only one I’ve seen built to offer support for both in one pillow and that feature works well.
The one downside to the pillow is that it’s quite large. You’ll probably need a king-size pillow case to over the it properly. Given it’s size, if you’ve got a smaller bed, this pillow will take up more than than a typical standard pillow. That’s probably due to it accomodating back-sleeping and side-sleeping in the same pillow.
It’s not inexpensive, but the design of the pillow and its build quality are both top-notch.

  2. Takes about a week or two to become accustomed to but great now

I didn’t like this pillow at first, and I would often go back to my old memory foam pillow (smaller/flatter but very comfortable pillow). I purchased this one as I would sometimes wake up with neck strains based on my sleeping position. I was attracted to this product as I sleep both on my sides and on my back. When I first used the pillow, it felt awkward and difficult to use, and I would change it to my old pillow. As many mention, there is a breaking in period, and after about 2 weeks, it has been great. I’ve tried to use my old pillow to compare, and it’s impossible. The ability to quickly change from back to side as I settle in to sleep is really an underrated aspect. The only downside of this pillow is that it really contrasts how poorly suited the pillows in hotels and AirBnBs are for me.

  3. Takes getting used to

I’ve always had Temperpedic products but this pillow takes a bit of time to figure out where to lay your head for the best fit. If you’re a side sleeper you’ll like the 2 sides, it molds to your head and neck for great support that doesn’t get hot while you sleep. If you’re a back sleeper you’ll like the middle of the pillow. I found other pillows were too high when I’d lay on my back but this one is at the perfect height and very supportive. The first night I had it, I found my preferred side spot and put my head down. I never moved all night until it was time to get up the following morning. I was rested, neck and back felt relaxed, I recommend giving it a try.

  4. Good neck pillow

I needed a pillow that provided support for my neck while sleeping on my back and on my side. This pillow has relieved a lot of my discomfort. It takes getting used to, because it is very firm. There are 2 different heights for back and side sleepers, which is useful. The one drawback is that it is a huge pillow (and heavy) – much bigger than I need, and taking up way too much space on the bed.

  5. Updated: Really like this pillow!

Update: I’ve been using this pillow for a few months now and really like it. Has it soured me on all other pillows forever? No. Will I have to travel with this pillow now? No. But it is comfortable and the strange shape and extra firmness works well for me.
    Original review:
After receiving this pillow I took it out of the washable waterproof cover to allow it to offgas for a few days before use.
The pictures are what I found. The dark spots are holes on the back side of the pillow in the Tempur-pedic foam, and I’m not sure what the yellow stains on the thin foam cover are from. Maybe the foam being a little older? Moisture? No odd smells were noted and it came in a completely sealed bag.
I’m still planning on using the pillow, and it seems comfortable. For the price though, I didn’t really expect holes or staining.
I’ll try to update regarding comfort after using the pillow for a while.

  7. Wait for sale unless you’re sure this is for you.

I bought this on sale for $55. For that price I feel like this was a safe purchase. It definitely does the job and while I’m still getting used to it (it takes some adjustment) I have noticed I’m not waking up with the same neck pain as my old super pillow when sleeping on my back. I don’t think I’d spend $100 on it though.
Yes, it’s firm. It compresses to about the level you’d expect from fluffier foam pillows. I’m okay with that. I’ll likely swap between my two super foamy pillows depending on what my body tells me.

  8. Kind of mixed

This is a big investment for a pillow. And it still is feeling a little stiff after a couple of weeks. I think I wish it was a couple of inches thicker or higher. It feels very good initially but then a little stiff towards morning.

  9. Very firm and supportive pillow that will reduce neck pain for sure

I knew this was going to be a firm pillow but didn’t realize it would be as extremely firm as it is. It takes a while to get used to. I do wish it was softer but the positive is I no longer wake up with a stiff neck or shoulder and upper back pain. For those reasons, I will continue to use the pillow. It does the job when it comes to proper support. For me, support is more important than comfort. If there was a way to make it this supportive with more softness it would be perfect.

  10. Works OK, but still suffering

Liked the options it gave, but still don’t get a full night rest. Problem may be beyond what a therapeutic pillow can do.

  11. seems good for back sleeping not sure about side

this is great for back sleeping, especially if you move your head to the side, since it holds the head gently in place. its a little firm and puts slightly too much pressure on my neck. additionally it is awkward to use on your side

  12. As described

    As discribed

  13. If you have neck issues try it.

Takes getting used to which was told it would. Helps with my neck pain. Hard to read in bed on my side.

  14. Super Pillow

Love this pillow, although it takes a few nights to get used to it. Need King size pillow cases, standard size is too short.

  17. The Best Pillow I’ve Ever Used

I have issues with my neck, as my cervical spine is straightening out as I age, which causes a lot of neck pain and headaches when I wake up. I’ve used contoured pillows for years because of this, but the issue is that memory foam always tends to break down, especially the softer they are to begin with, so I’ve bought A LOT of different pillows through the years, either because they were not comfortable (for me), or because they were beginning to break down and lose their supportive properties. This pillow, however, has held up, and is just as comfortable as it was when I bought it.
This pillow is a contour pillow, which works well for back sleeping, but also has sides to it, so that if you tend to start out on your back and then wind up on your side, as I do, this pillow has you covered.
This is a fairly firm pillow, which seemed odd at first, but you do get used it, and it feels great, because it doesn’t begin to flatten out through the night, as many other pillows tend to do, including memory foam ones.
When I purchased this pillow, I did see other people commenting that it had a bad smell when they first used it, and while it did have some of a latex smell, it wasn’t bad, and went away after a few nights.
If you suffer from neck pain, especially when you wake up in the mornings, this pillow may help you.

  18. Expensive postage as I live in the UK – but felt it was necessary purchase for me and the Husband

I had a really bad neck & was waking up in the night to change pillow height dependent if I was on my back or side so that my spine was properly aligned, which meant my sleep was constantly disrupted. This pillow solved this problem for me – as it has the 2 heights for both sleeping positions, whether you sleep on your back, right or left side! In addition to this it is versatile in the sense that my husband uses the smaller shoulder width side and I flipped mine 180 degrees and use the larger shoulder size – brilliant pillow to put on our Temura mattress and the temperature feels right too. Yes they were expensive but we justified the cost as a useful Xmas present to each other. A good night sleep and posture can make all the difference to your day and any neck or back niggles you may have and I felt rested at long last! (the only thing is my Husband has to move it if he wants to sleep on his front – but that’s his fault – who wants to sleep on their front? That’s asking for gravity to prematurely age your face, no thanks – you can’t have it all 🙂

  19. Relief!

5’2”, 110#, senior female with arthritis and degenerative disc disease who sleeps on side and back. I’ve tried about a dozen pillows in the past 3 weeks trying to relieve the pain in my neck. This pillow worked for me from the first night using the low profile side. I’ve tried other Tempur-Pedic including the original contour and ProLo Adapt, which both left me in pain, as well as softer memory foams and shredded memory foams. This is the first pillow that supports my neck, lets my head cradle back so I don’t feel like I’m resting my chin on my chest, and provides enough face and shoulder support that I’m not having to prop the sides of it up with my arms all night. I can actually feel my neck and shoulder muscles relaxing as I lay on it. I’m very relieved and happy to have found it. And no chemical smell. It’s heavy and firm, like my tempurpedic mattress, but both soften as they warm up and together they provide great support and comfort. When I wake up in the morning I feel so good.

  20. This is the greatest pillow I have ever had the pleasure of owning and using

I previously had the exact same pillow; however, I left it at a hotel in Odessa, Tx and the staff was way too shifty to return it to me. So I had no choice but to purchase another one. I have had spine issues and multiple surgeries in my neck and low-back. This is the only pillow I have found that I don’t feel like a pretzel when I wake up. I am just as pleased with this pillow as my original and can not fathom having to use different pillow.

  21. Best memory foam pillow I’ve tried.

In the last 12 months, this is the third memory foam style pillow I’ve tried, all of them expensive. This is the one I’m still using. It’s a little on the firm side, but has gotten better over time, so not SUPER comfortable, but not uncomfortable either. The other pillows were uncomfortable because they were too wide and I could not push them high enough on my bed to keep them from pushing down on my shoulder and making my neck uncomfortable. This back-side sleeper fits perfectly between my shoulders and the head-board. It’s a little firm and heavy for travelling (harder to stuff into a suitcase), but that’s the nature of a memory foam pillow. It’s FABULOUS when side-sleeping. My head is very comfortably supported on the side “platforms”. No regrets with this pillow.

  22. Supports Neck Correctly and that Equals Less Pain

I would consider myself a neck pain expert. I have a cervical fusion and the disk above and below the fusion are bulging. It’s been 20 years now. I live with pain every day. I have been through dozens of pillows. This pillow has been a great relief for my neck pain. I sleep on my sides and back. This pillow does great for me. Yes it is firm but a loosie goosie pillow will allow you head to move and sink. It is soft if you relax into it. The memory foam gives but maintains it’s position. The sides are high so your neck isn’t bent. The center section is contoured to hold your head straight.

  23. A neck saver and pain relieving pillow!

This pillow has done away with my neck pain which was always worse after a good nights sleep. If I had neck pain during the day, I would dread going to bed because I knew I would wake up much worse and sometimes the pain upon awaking was so bad, I would have headaches and vomiting. I have tried volumes of pillows, none worked til this one. Now if my neck gets a little sore by evening, I go to sleep and the soreness is gone by morning, time and time again! I am missing my visits with the chiropractor, she’s a nice lady! It did stink when I first got it, had to let it off gas outside for about a week and it took me that week to talk myself into sleeping on it because it is hard! The instructions with the pillow said to keep using it despite how hard it may feel at first and eventually you will like it. It took me 4 nights of sleeping on it before I could say I actually liked it and I’m glad I gave it a chance because now I love it and I’ve got my life back without pain. I did take the cover off and use my own pillow case with it: the cover was too small and made the pillow bunch up and seem harder.

  28. A dream for back-to-side sleepers with neck pain.

I love this pillow, it’s the only one for me. I’ve tried many, many pillows. I’m a back and side sleeper with chronic neck issues. I bought one of these pillows 4 years ago (exact same make/model), and it changed my life. As expected, it did wear just enough after 4 years that I noticed a lack of support. I broke down and ordered a new one from Amazon (purchased my first one elsewhere). It’s exactly the same, but with the old support that worked so well for me. Perfectly aligns my neck when laying on my back and always brings me pain relief. Then I just roll on my side and it’s the perfect height for my shoulder to keep my neck supported.

  29. Solved my shoulder problems

This pillow is amazing. I’ve had shoulder pain for several months now, and this pillow has been the only thing that helps. I think it’s because it keeps me on my back while I sleep and stabilizes my shoulder/neck too. I have a Tempur-pedic Neck pillow and a Tempur-pedic Symphony pillow, and neither of them helped quite as much as this one.
I bought one for myself a while back while on sale, and my spouse liked it so much that we bought another one for her too.
It did have a weird smell when it first arrived, but it mellowed out over a few weeks. Definitely tolerable while in a pillowcase.

  30. Magical neck pain relief. However, pillow is a bit hard

I used to have neck pain when I wake up in the morning, after switching to this pillow, all my neck pain issues went away!
This pillow is magical. And I love the fact that it’s indented in the middle but raised up on the sides, it feels comfortable when I sleep on my back or the side.
The only thing is the pillow is really hard compared to my previous cool top memory foam pillow, your head does not sink into it AT ALL. So that takes some getting used to, but once you are accustomed to it, you will be able to enjoy pain free nights of sleep 😌
Over all I am very satisfied with the purchase.

  31. Just buy it!

This is the perfect pillow!!! My son and I sleep on our sides and back. The fact that ONE pillow has two sides is fabulous! Since he has starting using this pillow he has stopped grinding his teeth. No neck pain, no shoulder pain! Now mind you, we both sleep on Tempurpedic mattresses. There is no better sleep product in my opinion. Saved me from terrible back pain. This pillow out does all the previous ones I have used. I got this on sale so it was a steal of a deal! Even full price its worth every penny. People neeed to realize that soft and squishy isn’t supporting the neck and keeping you aligned and on your side with normal pillows your shoulder and neck feel crushed.

  32. Just the pillow for a side sleeper like me

With as many challenges I’ve encountered while searching for a good pillow, I’m so happy and relieved to say this one totally works for me. If you look at it closely, it provides lots of options depending on how much height you need. It’s the perfect amount of firmness for me and I found a section with the perfect height for when I’m on my side. And most importantly, it doesn’t get compressed or lose its shape over time and I’ve had it for quite a while now.

  33. Great pillow, this is the one!

I’ve looked over a year for a new pillow and have had constant stiffness neck and painful neck. This is the pillow after trying over 8 pillows! It’s harder than expected, but it supports my neck when on back (middle section) and when on my side (sides of pillow).

  34. Neck pain much improved!

I work in a setting where I’m always looking at a screen, my phone or down at the table. This pillow has improved by neck muscle tension and pain. Definitely worth it.

  35. Relief

As a person who has a pretty gnarly cervical injury, this pillow is literally a Godsend. This is the second time I have purchased this pillow and honestly, I will continue to buy this pillow over and over until they stop manufacturing it.

  36. No more neck pain pillow!

When you first lay your head down, it feels stiff, but give it a week, you will fall in love and so will your neck. I was in pain and desperate when I bought this. Within a few days, my neck pain disappeared. Fantastic! Buy it! You will love it. But don’t freak when you first put your head on it. It’s not a pile of mush like your old pillow. Use it. Love it!

  37. Worth it!

I was nervous because it looks thin but it has been great. You do need a longer king size pillow case for it but I love this pillow and i like how long it is. I move a lot and roll over in sleep so I still have a pillow. My dog even likes it. I have come home to find him napping with his head on it too.

  38. Great for CPAP with full mask!!

I have sleep apnea and needed a pillow that helped my head. This pillow is perfect with the full mask. It helps keep my head at the right position so I can sleep. I LOVE it.

  39. Best neck pillow hands down!

Has helped me get a comfortable nights rest after months of a sore neck and getting a spotty nights sleep.

  40. Great new design!

This is replacing my old 15 year old Tempurpedic pillow I attempted to wash. Don’t wash your pillow without the cover on it! I live the new design and know after last night that I made a great decision again.

  41. perfect pillow

My fiance bought this pillow because he was having severe back and neck pain. Within a few nights of using this, his pain vanished. It is heavy so be warned, but it gives you all the support you need out of a pillow.

  42. Neck pain is gone

I used to have pain before this pillow after two days of using this pillow pain is gone.

  43. Firm & Supportive

I bought this pillow for my husband who has constantly complained he cannot find a firm enough pillow for him. Well ladies & gentlemen we have a winner. He loves how firm the pillow is and already his quality of sleep has improved. Personally, I do not like firm pillows like this, but feel pillows are a highly personalized choice. Would definitely recommend if your trying to find a firm pillow.

  44. Soft and firm where needed. Good sleep.

I took pillow from plastic bag and waited a couple days to let the pillow off-gas and the smell that always comes with new pillows to go away. Slept soundly first night I used it and every night since. I like the contours and firm support.

  45. Perfect pillow for me

My friend had this pillow. I had to buy it. I get a great night’s sleep. It was a bit firm the first few weeks but has softened over time.

  46. Love this Pillow!

Love this Pillow! It is firm. I am a back and side sleeper and have no problem with sleeping on the end of the pillow. I have searched for years and bought many pillows but they were all too soft and caused me to have shoulder pain. I will be ordering a second pillow for a spare in case they stop making this firm pillow in the future.

  47. No Oder

This may be the older model and I really like it. Very large and comfortable….packaged well…very happy with this pillow

  48. Works

I love how it cradles my head into proper alignment. I do wish, however, that there was a cooling gel pad on it as well.

  49. Good Head

    Pricey but, sleeps great

  50. Great pillow, awesome support for the back and side sleeper

The pillow had great support but it can run hot sometimes in the summer. Great for consumers that sleep on their back and side. It does soften slightly overtime but that wasn’t a problem for me.

  51. As expected from Tempur Pedic.!

I thought it was time to replace my older model Tempur Pedic pillow with this one. It really is amazing..!!

  52. Great fit!

I love having more than one “fit” location on the pillow. Also, this brand is the best when it comes to “memory foam.”

  53. Keeps body alignment when sleeping

Pillow works great for Cpap users who sleep on their side.

  54. firm, supportive, cradling

I tend to end up not on my pillow in the middle of the night, but this pillow has great support for all sleeping positions. As with other Tempur Pedic pillows, I also really appreciate that I can lay with my arm under the pillow and it redistributes the weight of my head enough that my arm doesn’t fall asleep.

  55. Perfect Pillow

I have hernia on my neck and couldn’t sleep at nights. I bought 3 differrent pillows but this one is completly different. First 3 nights I couldn’t sleep at all; it was like a stone under my head. Now I can’t imagine sleeping on any other pillow. My pains were almost gone. Love it so much…

  56. It has good neck support.

I like that it is firm but confortable.

  57. Solid.

Takes awhile to get use to. The pillow is very heavy so it would not be a good travel pillow at all.

  58. Great pillow for side sleepers!

I am a side sleeper and I wear a CPAP mask. I need a firm section for my head. This pillow is perfect for me I didn’t have to even break it in. Side sleepers, this is great I recommend it!

  59. Functionality and intended purpose

Great pillow during cervical radiculopathy treatment.

  60. Good pillow

    Very comfortable to use!

  61. I’m satisfied with its high quality.

I’m satisfied with its high quality.

  62. helped me with neck pain

I’ve been sleeping very well since I bought this pillow.

  63. It’s the perfect pillow for me !

This is the best pillow I have ever bought! I’m a back sleeper and all my other pillows were either too high, too hard or too soft . This Tempur pillow is the perfect height for a back sleeper and even if I sleep on my side , the two ends of the pillow are a perfect height. The pillow is not too hard or soft but firm. It’s just perfect !

  64. Good buy and comfortable

First of all, it’s authentic Tempur-pedic. Good built quality and comfortable. Coming from the classic Temper contoured pillow, I love this one. No neck pain in the morning. Recommended. But from the reviews, it may differ from person to person.

  65. Excelente almohada para dormir de lado y espalda

Excelente. Más suave al centro firme en las orillas, sirve para dormir de espaldas y de lado.

  66. Lo mejor para el descanso

    Cómoda y práctica

  67. Amazing

    good product

  68. Don’t machine wash it!!

Pillow was great until it needed washing.

  69. My Favorite Pillow

    I Love it!

  70. Great supportive pillow for back and side sleep

Excellent design that help relieve my nightly neck cramp due to cervical spine issues.

  71. Just OK.

    Didn’t meet my expectations.

  72. I thought this would be the answer for my husband’s neck

This is a very nice pillow and I was so excited that it would help my husband’s neck and help him to sleep better. He tried it for about a month, thinking he would get used to it. But in the end, he said it was just too firm for him. He did not feel his head sink in the pillow at all so it didn’t feel supported. It’s important to say that he does have neck issues to begin with. We’ve tried many pillows and I hoped this one would work for him but it did not.

  73. Worth buying.

It has made my sleep better, I now sleep longer and don’t wake up through the night. Great neck and head support not too firm and not too soft.

  74. Great pillow

    Great pillow

  75. good

    good

  76. Fantastic

Great great sleep at last no neck pain

  77. Lovely Pillow

I bought this pillow after doing many studies and this pillow is very comfortable. It’s an ergonomic pillow. Recommend to everyone.

  78. Not for me!

Have a sore neck thought I would try a pillow for back sleepers with neck problems, one night and I am looking for a different pillow.

  79. Firm pillow

This pillow is very large firm and helped my neck pain.

  80. Great pillow!

    Love it!

  81. Comfortable

This is the best pillow I have ever bought!

  82. Hard as a rock

Firm, good neck support but unyielding to your head and ears. Weighs a ton. What you gain in neck and spine support you lose in comfort.

  83. Relieves pressure on neck and upper back

It is heavy, hard to slide into position but relieves pressure on neck and upper back.

  84. This is a very FIRM pillow

Well made with nice cover, but VERY FIRM.

  85. Amazing pillow

    Very comfortable

  86. Extremely Firm but Comfortable

I bought this pillow a long time ago and have had it for about 2 years now. It’s my favorite pillow for sleeping on my back and side. The only time I dislike it is when I have a headache because it can be a bit too hard then.

  87. Great for Neck Pain

This pillow is a game changer. I have a chronic stiff and sore neck but this pillow has made a huge difference. I was previously using a Tempur pillow that was shaped like a standard pillow – it was good but this is better!

  88. Could work well for ithers

This is not the best pillow for me. I bought it at a discount and I just can’t use it because it’s too thick, but hey it could be perfect for someone else!

  89. Pillow

Good pillow, best of both worlds

  90. Supports head and neck

Excellent for keeping head straight when sleeping.

  91. Simply sleep

    Best pillow ever!!

  92. Amazing!

I was constantly waking up with headaches and now from using this pillow I haven’t had not one!

  93. yeah…

  94. This is the greatest pillow I have ever had the pleasure of owning and using

I previously had the exact same pillow; however, I left it at a hotel in Zim and the staff was way too shifty to return it to me. So I had no choice but to purchase another one. I have had spine issues and multiple surgeries in my neck and low-back. This is the only pillow I have found that I don’t feel like a pretzel when I wake up. I am just as pleased with this pillow as my original and can not fathom having to use different pillow.

  95. Very firm, even where it’s supposed to be softer in the middle

Seems to be good quality, but very firm-too firm for my neck

  96. Good pillow

    I like it

  97. Comfy

I’ve been using it for over a month. It does help my back, I used to get up at night every time. But ever since I used this, it allow me to sleep until sunrise.

  98. Perfect Fit For Me

Fits my neck perfectly and when I roll over onto my back in the middle of the night, it cradles my head in a position that eliminates snoring most nights.

As mentioned by the consultant that assisted me, there is a breaking in period, and after about 2 weeks, it has been great. I’ve tried to use my old pillow to compare, and it’s impossible. The ability to quickly change from back to side as I settle in to sleep is really an underrated aspect. The only downside of this pillow is that it really contrasts how poorly suited the pillows in hotels and BnBs are for me.
